New Post..

May 9, 2008

Whoo! It’s been 2months (? question mark) since my last post here on my site. I’ve been very busy not only here in our house but also in our church. There’s SKP, activities of PNK and many more…

SKP or Summer Kindergarten Program is an annual activity in our Church. This is a program suited for children who have not yet started going to pre-schools wherein we teach them the basics (e.g. alphabet, numbers, colors, etc.). Volunteer teachers attended a seminar on how to teach the kids the things they should learn before entering formal schools. Luckily, I’m one of them. *laughing* It’s a one and a half month session and just like every schools, we have our own graduation. We give them certificates, medals and a formal graduation as well. 2 weeks from now, we’ll start our practice for the graduation. Although these kids are very hyper and extreme most of the time, it’s very satisfying to see the improvement from the 1st day of the class up to the last day of the session. Another thing that is overwhelming in this is that your students would call “Teacher Kat!” even though you’re not in the classroom and the fact that you’re not a real teacher. Wheee! I’m going to miss my students. Haha

Next is my family in our church, PNK. Every week we have activities for the children inside the Church. A month ago, we had SUMMER SPORTSFEST, TAGISAN NG TALINO, and RUBIK’S CUBE COMPETITION. All of these programs were launched successfully and very fulfilling on our side for our effort is worth it. *smile*

I’ve been busy also these past few weeks in raising my own money. It’s all because of my upcoming debut on November 1st. It’s not a formal party but a swimming party but I want my guests to remember my debut. Haha It’s not an illegal job, and it’s related to my course, Computer Science. Thanks to him! Hahaha

That’s all for now.. Bye!

Woops! Wait, I’m excited but nervous at the same time because I’m on my second year in Computer Science! Wish me luck to pass all the subjects I’m going to take this semester! Hahahaha… Ciao!

Just an ordinary day…

February 19, 2008

*Exhausted!*

*Listening to the radio – Won’t Go Home Without You (Maroon 5)*

I am supposed to update my blog yesterday but I wasn’t able to do it because of our research paper in English. Anyway this first part of my post is about what happen to me yesterday.

As usual I’m 30 minutes late again yesterday for my first class but luckily, I saw Ma’am Quintana talking to one of her co-teachers. Wheee! I’m not late for our class! I’m still catching my breath when Ma’am Q entered the room. Her first words are these: “We have a QUIZ today, right?” Whaa! I haven’t reviewed my notes. Suddenly, our savior for that day, came in. Psychology students from the Guidance Counselor. Hehehehe.. It’s almost 8 o’clock, we don’t have much time to take the quiz! Whooo! *jumping* She reset our quiz this coming Friday (at least I still have time to review). After our class in Math, we proceed already at room 311 for our Philosophy quiz. Finally, our professor came and we took the exam the whole period. At last, our long quiz on Philosophy has ended. Right after our class we started working on our research paper in Filipino. We finished at 12 noon and I went to the Main Library to see Vea because we will be doing our research paper in English. I asked permission to her first because I’m already hungry! We started working at 2:00 p.m and completed the Preliminary Table of Contents, Chapters 1,2,3, and Appendices. I went out of the university at 5:45p.m. Because we’ll be picking up Darren from his office by 6.pm. It really feels so good to have your dearest love one beside you. :D *sigh* I’m relaxed, I feel so secured, it feels great.

When I got home, I turned on the computer right away to actually update my blog but unfortunately, I still have to do some typing in English. Believe it or not, starting from 8 p.m. up to 2 in the morning, all I did was typing, transferring text from one document to another. Ha! So tiring! Well, good luck to me for tomorrow’s classes. Will I survive for another day of travel, classes and activities during CET Week?

We’ll see….:D

Movie Marathon at Gateway Cineplex*10

Before this week ends and start another freaking week, I would like to share this post about the movies we [Darren and I] have watched this week and last week. I forgot to include these movies on my updates. Hahaha!

After an activity in the university last week, we decided to see each other and as I took the bus going to Cubao, I saw a billboard about a movie where the tag line is “SOME THING HAS FOUND US” and there’s no actors or actresses posted below the picture. Better, see the picture below.

Yes! It’s a picture of the decapitated head of the Statue of Liberty in the movie CLOVERFIELD. It’s somehow intriguing right? Let me tell you what this movie is all about. Don’t worry for those who haven’t watched it yet. I won’t tell everything, I’ll just tell some things about it. After this, I’ll give you link where you can watch the trailer.

Well, this movie is about five young New Yorkers who gave farewell party to their friend on the same night that a gigantic monster [which I think it’s somehow similar to Godzilla] attacks the city.

It’s like a true-to-life film due to shaky camera work, because all throughout the film only a hand-held video camera was used by one of the characters, Hud. I read some reviews about this movie and I’ve read that one of the theaters where the movie was shown, there is already a warning about the effects while watching the movie and it goes like this, “DUE TO THE FILMING METHOD USED FOR “CLOVERFIELD,” GUESTS VIEWING THIS FILM MAY EXPERIENCE SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH MOTION SICKNESS SIMILAR TO RIDING A ROLLERCOASTER.” *laughing* Fortunately, while watching this movie, we didn’t experience any effects like nausea, temporary loss of balance, or dizziness. As I watch this movie, seeing the characters died I felt this thing called empathy to the character of the film. What if it happen here in the Philippines? I don’t want to see my loved ones dying in front of me. OMG! i don’t want to see us dying one by one due to stampede or things falling down on us. Hahaha! The ending just ends whoa! That’s it?!It’s a bitter ending, still. Ah~! Just watch it.. here’s a trailer.

Another movie which we have just watched this week is the JUMPER starring Hayden Christensen. The sci-fi film is directed by Doug Liman (director of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and The Bourne Identity ). Hayden plays the role of David Rice who discovered his ability to “jump” or teleport. He walked away from their house, live his own life and tried to practice or control his ability. He used his ability to steal from banks without leaving a trace, live 8 years “jumping” all across the world and living a consequence-free life until Roland Cox (played by Samuel Jackson) enter the scene. He is a leader of the Paladin organization, whose goal is to kill jumpers who are deemed too powerful to exist. He tried everything to put David down and all the jumpers like him [David].

David used his “jumping” ability to take Millie (played by Rachel Bilson) to the places she’s been dreaming way back when they were still in high school. It’s so nice to have that ability right? Go to the places where you want to go especially when you have a deadline at school or at your work. You could just escape and jump to the place where you can unwind yourself first!*Laughing* It’s a fine movie.. :D By the way here’s the trailer. Check it at:

LAST WORDS:

I have to go now.. I still have to get things ready for tomorrow! OMG! It’s Monday again tomorrow! Too fast! Oh by the way, it’s CET week tomorrow in our school. Special Greetings to ate Regine! Hahaha!

Hey Ny, don’t be sorry ok? I’m fine, Your fine, We’re fine! Love yah! Bye!

Whaa my mother’s yelling at me already! Bye!
